College Ministry

The College Ministry at First Baptist Galveston is designed to support and connect young adults during one of the most transformative seasons of life. Whether students are attending college locally, commuting, or navigating early adulthood, this ministry provides a place to belong, grow, and stay grounded in faith.

College life often brings new independence, challenges, and questions. Our goal is to create a welcoming community where students can explore their faith in a deeper and more personal way. We understand that this stage of life is filled with transitions, and we are here to walk alongside students as they discover their identity and purpose in Christ.

Our gatherings are centered on meaningful connection and spiritual growth. Through Bible studies, group discussions, and worship, students are encouraged to engage with Scripture and apply it to their daily lives. We create space for honest conversations about real-life topics—faith, doubt, relationships, career decisions, and more.

Community is a cornerstone of our ministry. We believe that no one should navigate this season alone. Through small groups and social events, students build friendships that provide encouragement, accountability, and support. These relationships often become some of the most meaningful connections during the college years.

We also emphasize living out faith beyond the church walls. Students are encouraged to serve, lead, and make an impact in their communities. Whether through local outreach or mission opportunities, they learn to put their faith into action and see how God can use them in powerful ways.

Mentorship is another key aspect of our ministry. We connect students with leaders and mentors who can offer guidance, wisdom, and encouragement. These relationships help bridge the gap between college life and the next steps ahead, providing support in both spiritual and practical areas.

Our heart is to help college students build a faith that lasts beyond graduation. We want them to leave this season not only with knowledge, but with a deep, personal relationship with Christ that shapes every aspect of their lives.
