Children's Ministry

At First Baptist Galveston, our Children's Ministry is a place where little hearts begin a lifelong journey of knowing and loving God. We believe that even the youngest children can experience God’s love in meaningful ways, and we are committed to creating a safe, joyful, and nurturing environment where they can grow spiritually, emotionally, and socially.

From birth through 5th grade, every child is welcomed with warmth and care. Our trained and dedicated volunteers understand the importance of these early years and work intentionally to provide a foundation rooted in biblical truth. Through age-appropriate lessons, music, play, and storytelling, children begin to learn who God is and how much He loves them.

Each Sunday, children are guided through engaging activities that introduce basic biblical concepts in a way they can understand. Whether it’s hearing a story about Noah’s Ark, singing songs about God’s love, or participating in simple crafts, every moment is designed to plant seeds of faith. We want every child to leave knowing one simple truth: they are loved by God and by their church family.

Safety is one of our highest priorities. We maintain secure check-in and check-out procedures, background-checked volunteers, and well-supervised classrooms. Parents can feel confident knowing their children are in a protected and caring environment while they attend worship or small groups.

Beyond Sunday mornings, we offer special events throughout the year that help families connect and grow together. From seasonal celebrations to family-focused gatherings, these moments create lasting memories and deepen relationships within our church community.

We also recognize that parents are the primary spiritual leaders in their children’s lives. Our goal is to partner with families by providing resources, encouragement, and support. We want to equip parents with simple ways to continue spiritual conversations at home, reinforcing what children are learning at church.

The Children's Ministry is more than childcare—it’s the beginning of a faith journey. It’s where laughter fills the room, friendships begin, and the love of Christ is gently introduced in ways that shape a child’s heart forever.
